The bag that holds the hardware is not adequate…had to search the box for missing piececs. Otherwise they have been nice chiars and a good value.

Easy installation

Purchased from Ace hardware and the installation was super easy. Fenced my wife’s vegetable garden to keep my dogs out. The gate was little bit pricey but for the price, it was worth it. This fence works with small to medium dogs and is very decorative.

Good product-need more!

This is just what I wanted for my garden needs but I had a hard time ordering the quantity needed.When the three panels that I was allowed to order arrived, they were in good condition but each had partly broken through the packing boxes.For some reason, each panel was packed in a separate box.The finials had been wrapped with bubble warp but the the stake ends were not and they broke through the cardboard.It’s a really good product but it has some distribution problems.

Too Baggy for garden fence

This product is of poor quality. The wire is quite thin and unrolls very baggy in the middle. I have used 18″ chicken wire for a garden rabbit fence for several years with no problem. I would not recommend this product for that purpose. Not looking forward to rolling it back up for the winter.

What Attracts Bats to Your Property?

Bats, like most animals, follow the path of least resistance. They flourish in areas ample in food, shelter, and the absence of predators. If you live in an area that is in a unique manner habitable for any peculiar species of bat, don’t be astonished if they undertake and move in.

Bats ordinarily roost in dark, quiet, enclosed spaces where they are least likely to be bothered by predators or inclement weather. Their natural habitats are caves and other such secluded areas and this is why your barn, shed or attic may be so beautiful to a bat in search of safety. Some species are less picky and will roost in trees and dense foliage.

Bats roost for three reasons:

1. To digest the night’s meal: After a long night of feeding, it’s not not common to spot a lone bat hanging from an awning or off a tree as it digests the night’s catch. Technically this is resting, not ‘roosting’.

2. Hibernation: During the colder months, depending on your geographic location, bats will seek out secluded spaces with stable conditions to hibernate and wait out the cold season. They oftentimes roost in groups and make use of each other’s body heat to keep one another warm.

3. Breeding: Bats will choose protected environments for the creation of nursery colonies. Nursery colonies are where female bats nurse their babies to self-sufficiency. It’s mutual for assorted hundred mother bats to part the same roost with each other creating a ‘colony’ of babies and mothers. Maternity season for bats in the United States and Canada is commonly from late April to late August.

Bats may fit into openings as little as 1/23 making almost each man-made structure a virtual smorgasbord of potential hiding places. Some of the places that bats have been found in man-made structures include but are not fixed to:

* Attics

* Storage sheds

* Barns

* Unused and open structures (Dog houses, stables, etc)

* Chimneys

* Louvers

* Soffits

* Siding

* Eaves

* Roof tiles and shingles

* Behind shutters

3. What to do if You Encounter a Bat

Bats are comparatively timid creatures that commonly go out of their way to refrain from contact with humans. This is why you must be exceedingly careful if you encounter one up close and personal. Less than 1/2 of a percent of bats carry rabies, but those that do are more likely to become sick or disoriented increasing their likelihood of coming into contact with someone. Of the few rabies cases reported each year in the U.S., over half of them are caused by bat bites, so be very cautious when in close proximity and do not handle the bat with bare hands.

Bat Bites

Bat bites aren’t always noticeable, they commonly aren’t very painful so it’s possible for someone to get bitten while they are sleeping or other than as supposed or expected distracted. If you or anybody in your household has been exposed to a bat and you aren’t 100% sure that they weren’t bitten, it will have to be captured and brought with you to your doctor to be tested for rabies. This is particularly crucial in the case of a child who is found with a bat as they may not confess to getting bitten or grasp the potential risk. Don’t panic – rabies is still exceedingly rare, but it’s better to be safe than sorry, right?

Getting a Bat Out of Your House

If a bat wanders into your home through an open door or window, the best way to usher it out is to seal it off from the rest of the house by closing the doors to adjacent rooms and opening all of the windows in the room in which it resides. Just give it a few hours and it will normally leave all by itself. If it decides to stick around or you plainly don’t have the goodnatured tolerance to wait for it to leave, you may capture the bat and release it outside.

How to Capture a Bat

If you find yourself in a circumstance where you will have to capture a bat to either fetch it to your doctor or release it outside of your home, the most necessary thing to do not forget is not to handle it with your bare hands. If you’re not specially squeamish around bats then you may dawn a pair of heavy work gloves and use them to grab it and transport it out doors. A more agreeable method to those who would rather not get so close would be to take a little container such as a coffee may or shoebox, place it over the bat, and then slide a rigid piece of cardboard underneath to trap it in the container. You may then open the container outside to free the bat, or tape it shut (don’t forget air-holes) and fetch it with you to your doctor if somebody may have been bitten.

4. Getting Rid of Bats in Structures

Before we start out the routine of removing them from your property, you must check your local ordinances as it is illegal to trouble roosts, trap and/or kill bats in a heap of areas. This guide will not tell you how to kill bats, but it will tell you how to get rid of them.

5. Where Are They Roosting?

If you’ve got bats living on your property and you want them out, the initial thing you need to do is determine where they are roosting. Grab a chair and sit outside a few evenings with an eye to the sky. Are they in the trees? Around your house? Your neighbors houses? Make a list of each place they may be roosting based on your observation.

The next step is to go out for the duration of the day and thoroughly and closely question or examine closely all of the structures you’ve identified as possible roosting areas. Make a list of each opening larger than 1/23 in diameter and keep an eye out for telltale signs of bat habitation. You may detect dark, pellet-like droppings on walls and around areas where they roost as well as dark smudges and stains in places which they come into direct contact.

Deception

Chase Dunn and Ty banning were trying to get a multimillion dollar condominium development project off the ground, but were being stopped by a women they had named the Wicked Witch of South Bend. She was only renting in one of the buildings they planned to demolish, but she had come out with guns blazing pulling everyone from their personal attorneys to the historical society into the fight. Before it got too ugly, they were going to try a face-to-face discussion hoping to work out some sort of compromise. Chase and Ty were not prepared for the sexy petite woman that opened the door, and were taken aback when she assumed they were both male escorts.

Tessa Miller was waiting to interview a prospect that she was going to hire to hit on her friend Linda’s husband. They wanted to find out if he was seeing men behind her back, and couldn’t afford a private investigator. Tessa thought if he was hit on by a good-looking man, they would have an answer. When Ty told her they weren’t gay, she brushed off his response, and asked Linda which her husband would prefer. Mixed bag

I was anxious to get into this book, because the reviews and product description were so good. Overall, I did enjoy the story, and there were some great sex scenes and even laugh out loud moments, but I was a little uncomfortable about the ending. Instead of just being dominant alpha males, I felt like the heroes wanted to totally change Tessa. They were drawn to her spunky personality and outspoken behavior when they met her, but by the end they seemed to want to reduce her to a child who totally bowed to them. I can handle a D/s story, but I want the leading lady to retain more of her personality.

Building a brick outdoor fireplace is a big undertaking, but well worth it. A brick fireplace will make any yard pop. It adds curb appeal and may increase the value of your home. So though building it is a finelooking involved project it’s one that compensate for itself in the long run. Assuming you have a great deal of basic masonry know how here’s how to build a brick outdoor fireplace.

The introductory thing you need is a piece of paper. You’ll need the dimensions for your new outdoor fireplace so you may order the brick. Once you’ve got it sketched out call up your local building center and they’ll be competent to tell you how a heap of bricks you need.

Pick a spot in your backyard where there isn’t a prospect of a stray spark starting a fire – keep out of the way of placing under trees, awnings and the like.

Found just the right spot? Great! Grab your shovel and get ready to dig.

You’ll need to remove all the grass from the base of your outdoor fireplace.

Once you’ve got rid of the grass you need to compact the loose layer of soil. You may either use a hand compactor or rent a powered one for a few dollars a day.

So you’re sitting there looking at a huge ugly barren spot in the yard by this point. Don’t get discouraged!

Have the bricks delivered as close to your work internetsite as possible. Pushing carts full of bricks around all day isn’t going to get the fireplace built any faster.

Before you commence throwing bricks on the ground make sure you’re set with a masonry saw, a trowel and mortar.

Lay a bottom layer of bricks on top of the compacted soil. Be sure to use the trowel and mortar in amid each brick. This will give you a nice sturdy starting point for the rest of the brick fireplace.

Let the mortar heal overnight

Start stacking bricks along the edge of the base. What you’re shooting for here is a layer 4 bricks high. Be sure to cut/stagger the bricks from row to row always applying a thin layer of mortar amidst rows.

By now it will have to commence looking like an outdoor brick fireplace.

Keeping laying, staggering, and mortaring those bricks along the sides and back of the fireplace.

Pretty soon you’ll have 3 walls with regards to 3 and a half feet high. It’s time to build the roof.

Cut a piece of sheet metal sized to the fireplace walls. Cut a little notch more or less larger than 1 brick in the back of the sheet metal.

Place the metal throughout the 3 walls of your fireplace with the notch facing the back.

Put down another layer of bricks throughout the top of the sheet metal without covering the notch.

The chimney is the trickiest part.

You’ll need to cut the bricks to size to stack them around the notch.

The chimney doesn’t need to be that high, just tall sufficient to let the whole fireplace draft properly.

That does it! It took galore time and backbreaking crusade but you may now brag to the neighbors that you recognise how to build a brick outdoor fireplace.
